Madge Sunderman Ellington, 62, of 1909 Country Club Road, died this morning in Culver Hospital. She had taught in Montgomery County and Crawfordsville schools for a number of years before retirement. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Business and Professional Women, the American Legion Auxiliary and Alpha Delta Sorority. Mrs. Ellington attended Normal University and was graduated from Indiana State University. Born Jan. 1, 1915, in Clay County, Ill., she was a daughter of Loren and Lillie Hord Brentlinger. She was first married to Herschel Sunderman in 1939. He is deceased. In 1974 she married Austin Ellington who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Helen Shull of Crawfordsville and Arlene Hillenburg of Fort Wayne; a brother, Loren Brentlinger of Fithian, Ill.; a sister, Ruth Noble of West Palm Beach, Fla.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Jump officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
